The Badu® Koi 4 Bag Sand Filter is ideal for fish ponds smaller than 15000 litres.
The BADU® Koi Sand Filter delivers all the special features and quality desired by koi enthusiasts, ensuring years of satisfaction from a koi pond or water feature. This sand filter has a unique quick release lid for easy manual back washing and maintenance. It also has a smooth operating side mounted multiport valve to enhance user experience. This filter has a durable roto-moulded one-piece polyethylene tank for leak prevention.

Sand filters are used as a component in the water treatment process of water purification, as shown in the diagram below. Usually installed before the biofilter and UV sterilizers in order to filter out all solids coming from the fish pond. Sand Filters are classified as solid separator filters or mechanical filters.
KOi Filter Sand IS NOT INCLUDED. We can supply Sand at an extra cost of R140 per bag (need 3 bags for this filter). Each bag weighs 40Kg, so expensive to ship. Contact us for a separate quote if you wish to purchase the Koi Sand from us.. NOTE: You cannot use standard swimming pool filter sand.
