SOBO Eco Amphibious 3000 – 24V DC Pond Pump, 3000 L/h, 25W

This is the entry point to the Eco Amphibious range and the one to choose for a small ornamental pond or a modest water feature. It moves 3000 litres an hour drawing only 25 watts — low enough that running it continuously through the year barely registers on a bill.

Ten speeds, not one

Even at this size you get the full ten-stage control panel, which is unusual in the entry tier. It means you can run a small feature gently rather than at full tilt, and reducing the speed actually reduces consumption — unlike closing a valve, which simply wastes the energy. Feeding mode gives you a 15-minute pause with automatic resume after 60 minutes.

24 V motor, 220 V supply

The motor runs at 24 V DC, keeping the voltage in the water low. The supplied power supply converts from normal 220 V mains, so there is nothing special to install. Sine wave frequency conversion with a 6T sensor handles the speed control smoothly.

Reading the flow and head figures — important

The 3000 L/h and 4.0 m figures are not achieved at the same time. Flow is measured at zero head, with the outlet level with the water surface. The 4.0 m figure is the shut-off head: at that height the pump produces zero flow. Actual output tapers off as lift increases, so plan on the flow you need at your real lift height.

Pipe diameter matters here more than on the bigger models, because there is less power in reserve to overcome friction. Use the widest practical pipe.

In or out of the water

Fully submersible, or dry mounted beside the pond if you would rather keep it accessible and out of the silt.
