Solar Submersible Pond Pump Kit 200 L/h – 2.5W Panel, 3 Nozzles
This is the entry point to solar pond pumping — a small, self-contained kit for bird baths, garden statuettes, patio bowls and light aeration in a very small pond. A 2.5 W panel runs it, so there is no plug point to find and nothing on the electricity bill.
Reading the flow and head figures
These two numbers describe the same pump at opposite extremes, and it is worth understanding before you buy. The 200 L/h flow figure is measured at zero head — the outlet sitting level with the water surface. The 0.7 m figure is the shut-off head, the height at which the pump can no longer lift water at all and flow drops to nothing. Real output falls somewhere between the two: the higher you lift the water, the less of it arrives. For a visible plume, keep the nozzle well below 0.7 m.
Mounting options
The panel comes with both a ground spike and a wall bracket, which is more flexibility than the larger kits in the range offer. On a patio or against a boundary wall, the bracket is usually the tidier solution. Three nozzle variations are supplied with extension pipes, and flow is adjustable.

Worth knowing before you order
- Daylight only. There is no battery, so the fountain runs while sun is on the panel and stops after dark.
- The sponge filter is the weak point. On a pump this small it clogs quickly, and a starved pump burns out. Rinse it often — weekly at minimum in any water with debris.
- Brushless motor with locked-rotor protection, maintenance free in clean water. Certified to RoHS, REACH, CE and UKCA.
