DTPA Iron Chelate helps to correct Chlorosis (yellowing) in leaves caused by iron deficiency in the aquaponics system.
In an aquaponics system fish waste gets broken down by bacteria to create nitrates for plant growth. However, in many aquaponic systems there is often deficiencies in other nutrients, in particular potassium, calcium and Iron.
DTPA Iron Chelate works best in pH range from 5.5 to 7.5
Iron chelate addresses the iron deficiency. So if the leaves of the plants in your aquaponic system starts going yellow, its time to use Iron Chelate. First check if nitrates are at a good level as low nitrogen can also cause chlorosis
Directions For Use:
Soil Application:
- Dissolve 5g in 1ℓ water.
- Apply nutrient solution evenly to the soil around the affected plant.
- Repeat every four weeks.
Foliar Application (Aquaponics & Hydroponics):
- Dissolve 5g in 10ℓ water.
- Spray foliage at weekly intervals until chlorosis disappears.
Pot Plants Application:
- Dissolve 1g in 10ℓ water.
- Water the plants monthly to prevent iron chlorosis.
