Wheat Grass is one of the favourite microgreens for the health conscious. Mainly used for juicing to make healthy vitamin packed smoothies, but is also used in sandwiches, salads and stir fries.
Wheatgrass is the perfect source for a variety of vitamins and minerals. It is high in vitamins A, C and E, as well as iron, calcium, magnesium and amino acids. It contains 17 amino acids, eight of which are considered essential. Your body is not able to produce the essential amino acids and hence they must be supplemented into your diet with food sources such as wheat grass.

Wheat Grass is usually grown in Microgreen Trays, preferably with a cocopeat mat to properly support the plant (click here for Microgreen Kit) . Once sowed it can be harvested after 10-14 days. You can harvest several times by cutting and letting it grow again. This can be done every 4-5 days for 3 or 4 cycles.
